When you arrive at the airport, our guide and driver will welcome you and take you transfer to the hotel in the center of the city (30km – 45 minutes). Rest time in your room (available from 2 p.m.). Hanoi – City Tour (B, L, -)

Pu Luong – Ninh Binh – 170 km – 3.5 hour drive (B, L)

After breakfast, you will take a ride with the buffalo cart to the pier. There you will have a rowing boat ride to visit Van Long Swamp. The round trip for about 1.5 hours allows you to immerse yourself in a very quiet space in order to make the most of a wild landscape. You will be able to see birds soaring from the trees and even white-rumped primates which are listed in the World Red Book (if you are lucky!). In the afternoon, you will visit Hoa Lu – this ancient capital of Vietnam in the 10th century covers an area of 300 ha including the inner and outer citadels. Hoa Lu included earthen walls, palaces, temples and shrines that were surrounded and protected by limestone mountains. Today, the old citadel no longer exists and there are only a few remains from the 10th century. Lang Son – Cao Bang – Phia Thap (B, L, D)

You then leave for the Vietnamese – Chinese border to see the Ban Gioc waterfall which is one of the 4 largest transnational waterfalls in the world. 3km from the waterfall, it is the Nguom Ngao cave which has a history of formation about 300 million years. Nguom Ngao still retains its wild beauty of yesteryear. Have lunch in the local restaurant. In the afternoon, you will visit the village of Phuc Sen which is famous with forges like knives, working tools, … and then, you will take a walk for 2-3 hours from the blacksmith village to the tile village. . It is a very nice ride to see the scenery and learn about the local Nung culture and activities here. Dinner and night at the Nungs

Phia Thap – Ban Gioc – Phia Thap (B, L, D)

Breakfast. Then you take a walk around the village to see and participate in making incense sticks with the villagers. Departure to Ba Be. This lake is considered the pearl of the mountain. A boat trip on the lake for about 4 hours allows you to enjoy the clean air and the peaceful atmosphere of the mountain regions. Your tour will conclude in San Francisco on Day 8 of the trip. There are no activities planned for this day so you're free to depart at any time. We highly recommend booking post-accommodation to give yourself time to fully experience the wonders of this iconic city!

Day 1 of this tour is an arrivals day, which gives you a chance to settle into your hotel and explore Los Angeles. The only planned activity for this day is an evening welcome meeting at 7pm, where you can get to know your guides and fellow travellers. Please be aware that the meeting point is subject to change until your final documents are released.

Airport transfers are not included in the price of this tour, however you can book for an arrival transfer in advance. In this case a tour operator representative will be at the airport to greet you. To arrange this please contact our customer service team once you have a confirmed booking.
